Brief
The project began with the meaning of “La Muñeca Sin Rostro” Faceless Doll, a ceramic doll used to identify all Dominican Women’s unique traits. Then it transformed into exploring beauty photography of embracing women in the Caribbean with Afro-descendant roots.
Empowering Your Roots: Offered a space to the collaborators to expand their creativity and the ownership of their ancestral history, providing participants with both intimate and friendly space to engage with art—including personal stories, exclusive 10% giving back of this project personalize merchandise, and home decoration design sales.
The campaign’s tone has to educate and inspire people about the "slave trade" and how this has a significant impact on the Caribbean sea. The intent was to attract audiences who might not be as educated about the afro-descendant history of Women in the Caribbean Sea.
Lastly, the campaign identity would need to be used in campaigns, educational zoom calls, and finding authentic groups of Women who will be vulnerable to share their stories to be told over the months and years to come.
Background
The Empowering, Your Roots Project, is educational, but it’s about the power of beauty photography through Yeny Studio small company.  Yeny Studio will be to offer the studio to cast, produce, and direct this project campaign.
Strategy
I am looking for Women from the Caribbean Sea willing to share their afro-descendant roots.  The best part is to showcase their beauty through my visual photography.  Secondly,  this campaign is about You, the story you want to tell to the world about your roots and your family roots.  Also, to find safe spaces in which we can educate about this project.
Research
Most of this project research is from the Caribbean Sea concerning the Tainos and African diaspora.  Also, these women's personal stories being shared. The goal is to provide people with new knowledge of Tainos and African- diaspora history with a photographic touch.  The campaign will contribute to selling, promotion, educating, Caribbean culture, and sole ownership of Yeny Studio’s direction of this project and contributors.
Challenges
The only major challenge I am facing is finding models from every Caribbean Island and finding resources for funding this project and grad school scholarships.
Effectiveness
Since the launch of this campaign, I’ve received feedback from college professors, photography colleagues, and the Instagram audience about how much they love the photos.
